On 10^th of September, 2009 the fire broke out in the storage area for solvents at the territory of separate metal warehouse for solvents and sealers of Zaporozhye Automobile Building Plant (hereinafter referred to as CJSC "ZAZ").

The warehouse is completely equipped with modern fire alarm system and automatic fire fighting system according to the project coordinated and executed in accordance with the valid norms and rules.

At 11:02 the central control room of fire safety system of CJSC "ZAZ" and plant fire brigade received the automatic alarm.  The alarm was automatically transferred to the city bodies of Emergency Ministry.   

At 11:04 the automatic fire fighting system switched on. In 7 minutes the fire brigades of CJSC "ZAZ" arrived and started to         extinguish the fire.

The fire was localized by city fire brigades in two hours.

The water drainage during fire fighting was localized by the plant treatment facilities. The city environmental service confirmed the lack of dirty water drain from the treatment facilities of CJSC "ZAZ".

As a result of this fire three persons with burns were admitted to Zaporozhye Regional Emergency Medical Center.

According to the preliminary data the reason of fire is human factor.

The full accident pattern is determined by operative investigating commission of Emergency Ministry.

The loss amount is being ascertained.

The production areas and technological processes of the plant are not suffered.

The production and shipment of finished products are executed according to the production schedules.

The effect of fire at warehouse is removed by repair services of CJSC "ZAZ".
