Accessibility of the secondary education is one the priorities of the social development in Ukraine. However, statistics show that approximately 12% of pupils live far from schools and it is necessary to arrange their transportation to the educational institutions; provision with the school buses in Ukraine does not exceed 35%.

This is the issue of the day and to solve it the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine established and is implementing successfully the program «School Bus». Its essence is purchase of buses for general educational establishments, located in countryside, and as so - provision of the Ukrainian schoolboys, schoolgirls  and teachers with guaranteed free of charge trips to the place of education and return from school to home.

Understanding the specific urgency of this matter, Zaporizhia Automobile Plant involved itself into this program. As a result the products portfolio of CJSC «ZAZ» was replenished by the school bus «ZAZ А07А».

This up-to-date model completely meets all technical requirements. Its external specific signs are yellow colour of bus, lettering «School Bus» along the side panel, signs «speed limit», «children» and rotating beacon on the roof. As to the interior equipment - there are comfortable upholstered seats with armrests and obligatory safety belts, as well as luggage compartment for bags and knapsacks. There is also a possibility of communication - driver's place is equipped with a device for verbal informing, and young passengers, in case of need, may use a button for driver's call. Alarm siren is switched on while backward running.

School bus has modern equipment - soft pneumatic suspension ensures smooth running on rural roads; automatically sliding doors, antilock brake system (ABS), liquid heater Webasto to protect children from cold and other. Bus «ZAZ А07А» is certified in Ukraine and meets all mandatory safety requirements.

Since the beginning of the school year school buses of canary colour designated for transportation of 26 passengers have started delivery of pupils from neighbouring villages to Volnyansk city. Parents do not worry and the teachers are satisfied as well.

Supporting the governmental program, Zaporizhia Automobile Building Plant is ready for serial production of «School Buses» and is able to cover the requirement of our country in school buses.

CJSC «ZAZ» has made great and useful deed. It is pleasant to realize that the work of our designers and workers will help to implement important social program, as the Ukrainian children are in no way worse than the others. They have the right for education and from now on they will also have the possibility to get it without additional troubles.
