In May, 2009 UkrAVTO Corporation represented by Zaporizhia Automobile Building Plant won an international tender, held by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan Republic, for the supply of cars for veterans and invalids of Azerbaijan. On the 4^th of June the contract for supply of 500 cars was signed. On the 29^th of July Zaporizhia Automobile Building Plant started shipment of the first lot of cars.

 Last week President of Azerbaijan republic Ilkham Aliyev personally checked the condition of purchased vehicles and solemnly handed over the keys from the first 100 cars to their new owners.

In the near future it is planned to establish permanent representative office of UkrAVTO at the territory of Azerbaijan and the sales & service center, which will perform warranty and post-warranty maintenance of CJSC "ZAZ" cars in the country.

Zaporizhia Automobile Building Plant is carrying out active work on extending the export markets. Nowadays the share of export is about 50% in the production portfolio of the company. The cars manufactured by the company are supplied to several CIS countries and Syria. ZAZ also exports the components for Lanos cars to Egypt.
